You reap what you sow. It took a face to face encounter with God for Jacob to become Israel. Those who experience wounding in their life many times become manipulators or enablers (like Jacob's mother), or co-dependent. They make inner vows and judgments. They do not trust others. Moving Beyond the Past-Lesson 3b The Prodigal Son-God's Forgiveness The prodigal son chose to do his own thing. Many times those who have been wounded chose to do their own thing. The son got himself in a mess doing his own thing. Those who try to deal with their wounds their own way get into a mess. The good news is the son came to his senses and came back to his father as a humble man. If you want healing in your life from the past you must come humbly before God, confess your sinful way of dealing with your past and allow God to bring healing to your life. God's Daily Promises for Leaders Contentment Hebrews 13:5 Remember we all have someone watching/following us. When others see your life do they see you as a person that is content, at peace, regardless of your circumstances. If not, how about getting some alone time with God and experiencing His presence in your life and asking Him to give the assurance to you that He will not fail you or forsake you and that His plans are best for you.

God's Daily Promises for Leaders Forgiveness Colossians 3:13 Remember we all have someone watching/following us. If you are a Christian it is critical to walk in forgiveness. Yet for some people it is the hardest thing to do. We need to remember that we have been forgiven much by God when we did not deserve it. Forgiveness is not based upon someone deserving forgiveness. Forgiveness is actually for our sake not the other person's sake, We have a series titled "Moving Beyond the Past", that helps those who have been wounded in the past. God's Daily Promises for Leaders Church Matthew 18:20 Remember we all have someone watching/following us. There are Christians that say "I don't need to go to church to be a Christian". Yes, that's true, but there are many benefits in having fellowship with believers at church: being encouraged and encouraging, being strengthened and strengthening others, getting prayer and praying for others, being accountable and holding others accountable, getting needs meet and meeting the needs of others.

We can have hope in the promises of God because of Christ promising He would rise from the grave and he did. What promises of God are putting your hope in, knowing God will fulfill His promise? How has God worked in your life in the past, fulfilling the promises you trusted in? Be sure an share your testimony with others.

God's Daily Promises for Leaders Faith John 20:29 Remember we all have someone watching/following us. Some of us come to faith in Jesus Christ based upon the overwhelming evidence that the Bible is true. But it does not take long where it is obvious that we must walk by faith, not sight. When we walk by faith we see God do amazing things. As God works in amazing ways in our life others will want to know about the God we serve. So walk by faith.

God's Daily Promises for Leaders Change Philippians 2:13 Remember we all have someone watching/following us. God is putting the desire within us to do His will and is giving us the ability to do His will. When we walk out His will through His strength, others will grow in faith as they see God working in us. Let us be faithful to His will.
