Community Development-Part One Pastor Richard D. Dover Seattle Open Door Church As Christians it should be our desire to connect with each other within the church walls. We should ask God how we can minister to each other. But it should not stop at the church. As the Body of Christ we need to do all we can to meet the needs of those in our community. We need to be representatives of the love of Christ. We nee to be His hands and feet. Romans 8:11-15. Abba FatherPastor Richard D. DoverSeattle Open Door ChurchChristians are under no debt to the sinful nature. In other words they can say no to sin because the Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave lives in them. Christians have been adopted into the family of God and thus are children of God. God is their Abba Father, their Daddy. Seattle Open Door Church625 SW 149th St Burien, WA 98166www.sodc.tv Give Pastor Rich a call at 1-866-WANTGOD Go to www.thereishopev.org for more sermons.

Revival-In or Out, Part One

Revival In or Out? Part One Seattle Open Door Church Pastor Richard D. Dover Pastor Rich asks Seattle Open Door Church attendees if they want to seek God with the hope that there can be revival in the church, in the community, and in America. How about you? Are you in or out? Spiritual Revival is a sovereign act of God. We cannot make God send a revival. Thus, we should only seek God, not revival. However, if we seek God He certainly can send revival. How do we know this? Is there a need for revival? Absolutely! Does God want to see revival in our personal lives and in America? Absolutely! So if there is a need for revival and God wants revival, we can certainly call out to God for revival. Where and when is in His hands. But we know this, if we cry out to God for revival He will at a minimum send revival in our own hearts. Amazing things can come out of life that is changed for God. So are You In or Out?.

Revival In or Out? Part Two Seattle Open Door Church Pastor Richard D. Dover Pastor Rich asks Seattle Open Door Church attendees if they want to seek God with the hope that there can be revival in the church, in the community, in America, in the world. It is a question every single Christian in America should be asking themselves. Do they want see revival in their lives, in their church, in their community, in America, in the world? Or are they okay with the status quo? Sadly, most Christians are satisfied with the status quo. Thankfully Seattle Open Door Church wants to see the move of God that results in revival in the land.

Be Filled with the Holy Spirit-Part One Seattle Open Door Church Pastor Richard D. Dover Pastor Rich summarizes previous study on Romans 7 and Romans 8:1-11, which are about the battle between flesh and Spirit.. One key to walking in the Spirit is to be consumed with God's love. Another key to walking in the Spirit is to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 states we are to be Filled with the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul says to not be drunk with wine but be filled with the Holy Spirit. Interesting that Paul uses this contrast. He then speaks of worship and joy. Clearly those filled with the Holy Spirit will be those who worship God and who have joy. It is also interesting that in the context of this passage Paul ends with being humble. There should not be pride in regards to being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Moving Beyond the Past-Lesson 6, Part Five Forgiveness Summary Senior Pastor Richard D. Dover Seattle Open Door Church When we have been wounded by others we are left broken and wounded by the pain and destruction of what has been done to us. Or when we have been the guilty party we are left with guilt, shame, embarrassment, and self-hatred. May times we struggle with forgiving those who have sinned against us, struggle with blaming God, or unable to forgive ourselves. Through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, we can experience forgiveness from God and we can have the ability to forgive others or ourselves. God desires set us completely free and to heal every wound. Forgiveness is one of the steps for this to occur.
